Vision

The Norzagaray College Research Council envisions itself as an institution that delivers excellence in education through high-quality research.

Mission

  1. Achieve excellence in research and innovation within respective fields of specialization.
  2. Develop faculty, students, and staff to be competent in research, innovation, and discovery.
  3. Contribute to the community and society through well-guided basic and applied research.

Objectives

  1. Conduct a stringent review of proposals and research submissions by faculty, students, and staff.
  2. Offer research training to enhance the research capabilities of faculty, students, and staff through participation in various seminars, workshops, and related forums.
  3. Provide scientifically sound, multidisciplinary research that contributes to the improvement of life and living.

Research Agenda 2023-2028

General Services


The Office of the Research Services provides support and guidance to students in conducting quality research, through:

1. Research Orientation

An introductory session designed to familiarize students and faculty with research policies, processes, and ethical guidelines.

2. Research Consultations

One-on-one or group consultations offering expert advice on research design, methodology, data analysis, and manuscript writing.

3. Research Seminars/Training and Workshops

Capacity-building activities aimed at enhancing research skills, covering topics such as proposal writing, statistical analysis, and publication strategies.

4. Institutional Research Week

An annual event showcasing research outputs through paper presentations, poster exhibits, and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote academic excellence.

The Office of the Research Services is dedicated to supporting students in producing high-quality academic research. Our services aim to enhance research credibility, originality, and overall impact while providing accessible and reliable assistance in various aspects of research.

✅ Data Analysis – Expert assistance in quantitative and qualitative data processing using appropriate statistical and analytical tools.

✅ Grammar Checking – Professional editing and proofreading to ensure clarity, coherence, and academic writing standards.

✅ Similarity Checking – AI-powered plagiarism detection to safeguard academic integrity and originality.

✅ Panel Review & Technical Advising – Expert guidance from seasoned researchers to refine research content, structure, and presentation.

Research Incentives Program


The Research Incentives Program aims to recognize and reward students for their contributions to research and scholarly activities.

Publication Incentives – Financial rewards for research published in local and international peer-reviewed journals.

Presentation Incentives – Support for students who present their research at national and international conferences.

Research Grants – Funding opportunities for innovative research projects aligned with institutional goals.

Faculty Research Load Reduction Program


The Reduction of Teaching Loads (RTL) Program provides full-time (plantilla/COS) faculty members with dedicated time for conducting high-quality research. This initiative supports academic excellence by allowing faculty to focus on projects aligned with the institution’s research agenda while maintaining their teaching commitments.

Program Highlights:

✅ Up to 6-unit teaching load reduction for research-active faculty.

✅ One-semester completion timeline with structured progress monitoring.

✅ Support for individual and collaborative research projects.

✅ Opportunities for publication and academic contributions.

Staff Research Productivity Support Program (SRPSP)


The Staff Research Productivity Support Program (SRPSP) provides qualified non-teaching personnel with dedicated research time to conduct scholarly and applied research aligned with the institution’s research agenda. The program aims to strengthen the research culture among administrative and support personnel, promote innovation, and increase institutional research productivity.

Program Highlights:

✅ Open to regular, plantilla, COS, and job-order personnel

✅ Three (3) hours of dedicated research time per week for one (1) semester

✅ Supports individual and collaborative research

✅ Structured monitoring and mentoring

Outstanding Student Research


The Best Paper Award is given to graduating students who demonstrate excellence in research quality, presentation, and community impact. This award highlights exceptional research defense, effective dissemination through conferences and publications, and meaningful contributions to society.
