ABSTRACT
Gender discrimination in workplace is a rampant social issue more particularly to people in third sex. This quantitative research study aims to determine the live experiences of LGBTQ+ members in terms of workplace discrimination. The study was conducted to eighty (80) LGBTQ+ employees of foodservice restaurants in Norzagaray and San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Results revealed that respondents had perceived workplace discrimination particularly in terms of gender equality. Results further revealed prevalence of gender harassment through suggestive verbal discriminations. Concentrating to work and analysing the problems found to be the coping mechanisms of most victims. The study suggested periodic employee counselling, personality development seminars, and strengthening gender equality in the workplace. This study implicates foodservice managers in providing safe and gender-equal environment.
