ABSTRACT
This study aimed to develop a deeper understanding on the investigating the work-study struggle and challenges of working students. Purposive sampling was used which included 10 working students in the College of Hospitality Management, aged 22-23 years old as participants. This study utilized a qualitative research design through interviews, specifically, phenomenological, through the use of a validated interview questionnaire. It was found out that working while studying helps Hospitality Management students to be productive, gain a lot of experience, enhance their communication skills, develop multi-tasking skills, and gain credentials for possible future use. It also provided financial independence for their studies. In addition, results demonstrated that some working students had their employers take their schedules into consideration and take the initiative to manage their time by employing tools that will allow them to balance and manage job and study. Furthermore, since they worked for a company that was connected to their studies, they didn't see these difficulties as obstacles to their education. Additionally, they were enthusiastic about their work because it allowed them to advance both professionally and personally.
