July 27, 2026 | TEACH TO REACH: NSTP-Led Tutoring Program for Struggling Learners (Grades 1-3) in Literacy and Numeracy at Partida Elementary School
The National Service Training Program (NSTP) students of BEEd program participated in a capacity-building workshop designed to prepare them for their upcoming tutoring sessions with elementary pupils.
The activity served as a preparatory training for NSTP students who will conduct community-based tutorial classes aimed at enhancing the literacy and numeracy of struggling learners (Grades 1-3) at Partida Elementary School.
"This capacity-building activity will empower our students to become effective mentors who can make a meaningful difference in the academic journey of elementary pupils while developing their own skills and civic responsibility," said Dr. Maricar Joy Buluran, Dean of the College of Education.
Following the training, the NSTP students are expected to conduct structured tutorial sessions under the supervision of NSTP Instructor, Mr. Richard Perez. Through the initiative, the institution marks another step in providing the students with valuable hands-on experience in community service, leadership, and educational outreach.
